David Schuermann, AIA, NCARB, Principal
While working to graduate with honors from the University of Tennessee, David Schuermann began his architecture career at Bologna & Associates. It was there that he honed his craft, and where he met Joey Hagan. After leaving, David started his own firm, DMS Inc., where he did business for years before partnering with Joey to form Architecture, Incorporated in 1994.
David's proud to be very active with both the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB), where he currently serves on the Tennessee state board, and the American Institute of Architects (AIA). As an Architecture, Incorporated principal, he plans to keep the company involved with these associations as well as others, such as the Tennessee Board of Architectural and Engineering Examiners, the National Trust for Historic Preservation, and Blueprint for America.
